With Rome being so rich with architectural masterpieces it seemed correct that the artwork should pay tribute to the Eternal City.
After we supplied several image presentations the interior designer opted for this contemporary shot of the Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana or the Square Colosseum as it is also known. We complemented this with a white mount and a contrasting deep black frame.

This clean yet rustic artwork features an abstract twist on the famous Bramante Staircase, a hand finished solid oak tray frame and a clever alternative to printing on canvas.
Due to the high humidity environment that these artwork would be placed; we opted to print the image onto a high quality aluminium derived substrate that has excellent print quality properties and would allow us to 'float' the image inside the solid oak frame.
The end result was a tactile blend of contemporary and traditional.

Very large canvases sporting black and white mosaic formations were framed in the corridors in groups of 3 or 'triptychs'.
