ALMANAC BARCELONA
A fantastic mix of contemporary, striking and environmentally inspired artwork.
We supplied the artwork for all 91 guestrooms at the 5* Almanac Barcelona. We utilised a range of mediums that each accentuate the individual textures and nuances of the artwork.
architectural photography
Working to a design brief; we researched Barcelona and put forward a presentation of abstract architectural photography. Over the course of a few weeks we liaised with the interior designers & hotel owners to narrow down the options. Finally we were left with 5 beautiful photographs that would be alternated & repeated throughout the guestrooms.
The chosen images were reverse printed on acrylic to achieve a slick, glossy finish but also to accentuate the sharpness of the images. Each artwork was then framed in a thin metal tray frame with hidden anti-theft fixings.
This carefully curated selection of photographs were sourced, printed, framed & delivered by Sterling Art. We supplied nearly 400 of these for this wonderful hotel - from image inception to guestroom wall.
BOX FRamed Objet d'art
Carved tiles which mimic the design of the floor tiles or 'panots' that you will find on the streets of Barcelona; shown here is the "Flor de Barcelona" & "The Pedrera Tile" which was originally designed by Antoni GaudÃ.
The three dimensional artwork are all housed in Perspex boxes to bring attention to their significance - and to keep them safe!
